Ordering and Payment

  • Shopping on kindredfine.com is easy. Browse our collections, select your piece, and add them to your cart. All orders are placed online.

    If you need help choosing or have a specific request, reach out at hello@kindredfine.com and we'll guide you through it.

  • We accept all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover), as well as Apple Pay and Shop Pay for a faster checkout.

    We also offer installment payment options through Klarna and Afterpay, so you can split your purchase into manageable payments. Availability of installment options may vary.

  • Absolutely. All transactions are processed through Squarespace's secure checkout, which uses SSL encryption to protect your information. We never store your full credit card details.

  • We begin processing orders quickly! If you need to make a change or cancellation, please contact us at hello@kindredfine.com within 24 hours of placing your order. Once production has begun on a made-to-order piece, we may not be able to accommodate changes.

  • Sales tax is calculated at checkout based on your delivery address, in accordance with applicable law.

Shipping and Delivery

  • In-stock pieces are processed and shipped within 3-5 business days. Made-to-order pieces take 4-6 weeks to produce before shipping. You'll receive an email with your tracking number as soon as your order is on its way.

  • All orders are shipped fully insured via FedEx or UPS with tracking. A signature is required for orders over $500.

  • Yes! We offer complimentary standard shipping on domestic orders over $300.

  • Yes - once your order ships, you'll receive a confirmation email with your tracking number. You can track your package directly on the FedEx or UPS website.

  • We do! We ship worldwide via FedEx or DHL. Please note that international customers are responsible for any customs duties, import taxes, or fees charged by their destination country.

  • International deliveries typically arrive within 7-14 business days after shipping. Occasionally, customs processing can cause delays outside our control. Your tracking number will always have the most up-to-date information.

Returns and Exchanges

  • We accept returns on eligible, unworn items within 7 days of delivery. Items must be in their original condition and packaging with all tags attached. Please see our full Shipping & Returns page for details.

  • Email us at hello@kindredfine.com with your order number and reason for return. We'll walk you through the process.

  • Yes! We're happy to help you find the right piece. Contact us within 7 days of delivery and we'll sort out an exchange, subject to availability.

  • Custom, engraved, and personalized pieces are final sale, as are made-to-order items, international orders, and anything purchased during a sale or with a promo code. Please see our full Shipping & Returns page.

Product and Materials

  • Every Kindred Fine piece is made from sterling silver, solid gold, gemstones, freshwater pearls, and hand-finished enamel. Real jewelry, designed to be worn. Our enamel is vitreous enamel, finely ground glass powder applied to the metal and fired at high temperatures in a kiln. It's the same technique used in antique and heirloom jewelry, and it's what gives our pieces their vivid, glass-like color.

  • No, because our enamel is glass, it does not fade from sunlight or UV exposure the way painted finishes or resin can. However, harsh chemicals (bleach, chlorine, acetone, perfume etc.) and prolonged exposure to cosmetics can alter the surface over time. Pearls and enamel especially prefer to go on last, after perfume, lotion, sunscreen, and hairspray.

    Treat them gently, keep them away from chemicals, and they should last for generations.

  • Your Kindred pieces are designed to be worn. Wear them, that's the whole point. But be kind to them. Enamel is tough, but not invincible. Hard knocks or extreme temperatures can cause cracking.

    Pearls are naturally soft. Treat them gently, and wipe after wearing to keep their glow.

    Here's how to keep your pieces happy:

    • Put your jewelry on last. After perfume, lotion, sunscreen, and hairspray. Pearls and enamel especially prefer it that way.

    • Take them off before swimming, showering, or anything involving chlorine, saltwater, or hot tubs. Yes, even the shower. Sorry.

    • Cleaning is simple. Warm water. A drop of mild soap. A soft toothbrush. No chemicals, no ultrasonic cleaners, no drama.

    • When you're not wearing them, keep them in their pouch. It protects them from scratches, knocks, and tangles, especially when you're on the move.

    • Avoid extreme temperature changes. Don't leave jewelry in very hot or very cold environments.

    • Notice a little wear over time? That's your jewelry telling the story of where it's been.

    Just remember: Last on. First off. Wipe gently. Store softly.

  • Solid gold and sterling silver are both hardy. Clean with warm water, a tiny drop of mild dish soap, and a soft-bristled brush. Rinse thoroughly with clean water and pat dry with a lint-free cloth. Avoid harsh chemical jewelry cleaners. For a deeper clean, you can visit a local jeweler for a professional polish.

  • We work hard to photograph our pieces accurately, but screen colors can vary depending on your device's display settings. Enamel can vary slightly from piece to piece. It’s a natural part of the process. They're not defects, they're what makes each piece uniquely yours.

Sizing

  • Our necklaces are available in a range of lengths, typically 16" , 18" , and 20" to accommodate different necklines and styling preferences. Available lengths are listed on each product page. If you're unsure what length will work best, here's a quick guide:

    • 16" - sits at the base of the neck (choker-length, great for layering)

    • 18" - sits just below the collarbone (the most versatile length)

    • 20" - falls to the upper chest (great for layering or pendants)

  • Our bracelets are available in 6.5“. To find your size, wrap a flexible tape measure or a strip of paper around your wrist, note the measurement, and add approximately 0.5-1 cm for a comfortable fit. Size details and any adjustability options are listed on each product page.

  • In some cases, yes. Contact us at hello@kindredfine.com and we'll let you know what's possible for a specific piece.

Gifting

  • Yes! All Kindred Fine orders arrive in our signature packaging, which makes for a beautiful gift on its own. If you'd like to add a personalized gift message, simply enter your note in the "Gift Message" field at checkout. It will be included on a handwritten card.

  • Absolutely. Simply enter the recipient's address as the shipping address at checkout. Pricing information is included on the packing slip. If you'd like us to omit it, please note this in your order comments or email us at hello@kindredfine.com after placing your order.

  • Yes! Kindred Fine gift cards are available in various denominations and are delivered via email. They never expire.

  • Yes. Gifts can be returned or exchanged within 7 days of delivery under our standard return conditions. The recipient can reach us at hello@kindredfine.com with the order number (found on the packing slip).

Custom and Personalization

  • We love working on special projects! Contact us at hello@kindredfine.com to share your idea.

    Custom pieces require full payment in advance and are final sale. They cannot be returned or exchanged. Lead times for custom work are typically 8-10 weeks.

  • Possibly! Reach out to us at hello@kindredfine.com and we'll let you know what's feasible based on our current enamel palette and production capabilities.

Repairs and Warranty

  • All Kindred Fine jewelry is covered by a 6-month craftsmanship warranty from the date of purchase. This covers manufacturing defects - things like a clasp that fails under normal use, or a setting that wasn't properly secured from the start. It does not cover damage from wear, accidents, or improper care.

  • Please email us at hello@kindredfine.com with your order number and clear photos of the damage. We'll assess whether the issue is covered under warranty or whether a repair quote is more appropriate. We handle repairs in-house when possible and want to help you restore your piece.

  • Repair turnaround times are typically 3-6 weeks, depending on the work involved. We'll provide an estimated timeline once you send in your piece.

  • Repairs covered under our 6-month warranty are complimentary. For repairs outside the warranty period (or damage from wear and accidents), we charge a fee based on the scope of work. We'll always provide a quote for your approval before proceeding.
